MASTER TRAINER. HOW DID I GET HERE?

I was overweight and had thrown my back out. It meant that I was in bed for 3 months unable to function, I had a physio come to the house daily to help me get out of bed and get dressed.

I have scoliosis, which is easy to manage when you are fit healthy and strong, but after the birth of my second child I had put on 20kgs and had no muscle tone. i am also very flexible so there was no firm structure holding my spine in place. Surgery was the recommendation of 3 different specialists - there is no way I would have a pole inserted in my spine, never to be able to bend again. Research  on how to avoid surgery became my new job!.

The solution was simple enough really, strengthen the small muscles to support the skeleton, and I did through functional training! I felt amazing after the changes to my diet and body. With a 6 pack and incredible cardio fitness, I never felt better!

Then I discovered Muay Thai!!!!! I love this sport. It trains everything in your body, including your brain. For 5 years I trained as an amateur athlete 6 hours a day, i was asked to train other amateur athletes, and developed the athlete performance programs, which are available for purchase on my site.

Such was the transformation in my own body, training and technique, that is has given me  the opportunity to travel internationally to train clients.  I am so grateful for the chance to have adventure and to be able to share what I have learned through training, nutrition and habit adjustment with you.

WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW

After 5 years of travelling, training hard and living between Thailand and Australia, I have decided to settle for a time in Sydney Australia, this does NOT mean that I stop travelling and training, only that I am craving to be part of a strong community and be around close friends and family. Here I will develop the next phase of Tanqua training and ‘all the things’.

 

Life is full of so many amazing opportunities and possibilities, sometimes its hard to see past the routine of life and the things that we think we need to do and have. The challenge for me is to stay youthful and fresh in my approach to each day while embracing the comfort of having a more permanent base.

 

Healthy fitness and nutrition habits are essential for a positive life – but it has to be FUN and there has to be some sugar!!! Fitness is the processing tool for all that you input into your body – physical, nutritional, mental, emotional and environmental. Not only that, it keeps your body in fantastic working order so that you can continue to do the things that you really love to do……… no counting calories!

 

If you are an amateur athlete, you want to transform your life, you are the parent of a child with special needs or you are looking for something but don’t know what you need…..Welcome, I am so happy you are here.

TANYA

Hi I’m Tanya. I am from Sydney Australia and completed an Interior design degree in San Diego California USA. After graduating I worked on on high end residential and boutique commercial projects for the elite in California, then in Sydney, Australia. I absolutely love the creative process….. in all things.

 

I returned to Australia, then, I became Etienne and Philippe’s mum – the most amazing role of my life! My boys have inspired and stretched me in so many ways. I have strived to provide a strong foundation of love for them so that they have a solid platform from which to launch into their own amazingness. I hope to inspire them back! I would do anything and everything for them. So proud.

 

Etienne has Autism and navigating that journey has made me super resilient and almost destroyed me at times. I have learned to be more open minded, developed courage and redefined purpose.

Fitness, nutrition, brain, body, how you feel….everything effects how you function and all the things you do. I have gone through transformational change myself, trained as an amateur athlete and rediscovered vibrancy in life and how amazing it is to go beyond what I thought was possible for myself.

Now, I am the founder and Master trainer of Tanqua training. I love this job!

Tanqua training is ‘All the Things”, that I used to change my life and have used with my clients made easy for you to access for your own transformational journey.
